What made me start looking into Shungite?
Whether you’re working from home, your kids are learning from home, or you’re anywhere with your phone in your hand one thing is true: our bodies are being more bombarded with EMFs more than ever before. We live in a connected world. Everything has WiFi or Bluetooth these days. Shoot, I bet we have 15 connected devices in our house between our phones, computers, cameras, etc. What else are we being more bombarded with? Likely oxidative stress? Are you trying to parent and hold down a job? Some of you are still having to help your kids distance learn in the middle of all of that too. These two things alone are enough to run your immune system into the ground with you ever even realizing it. All of these things had me looking for help and there I found Shungite! Here we’ll explore Shungite benefits and healing properties and why you should always have it on you.
What is shungite?
Shungite is a rare black stone made of up to 99% carbon. It’s mainly found in Shunga, a village in Karelia, Russia. The stone has an interesting composition. It contains fullerenes, or 3-D spherical molecules made of 60 carbon atoms. Along with fullerenes, Shungite consists of nearly all the minerals on the periodic table.
1) Shungite shields electromagnetic field (EMF) emissions.
Like I said, in today’s world we are always surrounded by technology (lookin’ at you iPhone). We’re basically swimming around in an ocean of waves from WiFi all the time. EMF exposure has been linked to many ailments including reproductive damage, DNA damage and oxidative stress, brain cancer, cognitive problems, insomnia, fatigue, heart rate issues, digestive problems and cataracts. Shungite transforms harmful EMFs from our laptops, phones, appliances, the electrical grid, and anything else elctronic into wave forms that are more compatible with our biology. Wearing it on your person can have amazing benefits in this arena. We have a Shungite “sticker” attached to our cellphones and each of our WiFi routers (we have a mesh system). In addition to this my husband and I also wear Shungite bracelets and our oldest daughter wears a necklace even to school.
2) Shungite can purify water.
Shungite has a high carbon content, so naturally I think water purification. Additionally shungite filtered water is enriched with minerals and contains natural antioxidants that neutralize free radicals which in turn helps our cells and our immune system. Shungite water filtration cleans water by removing phenol, iron, manganese, chlorine, nitrates, nitrites, bacteria and micro-organisms, but you need elite quality Shungite for this application (this can be found on Amazon). Read some science here and here. Numerous studies confirm that adding Shungite to water fills it with oxygen, calcium, magnesium and other essential mineral components, while killing bacteria, and removing pesticides, chlorine, and heavy metals. It’s actually quite safe to put (real quality) Shungite right into your water glass and drink from it. Try it some time!
3) Shungite is a natural antioxidant and can improve immune system function.
Fullerenes (in Shungite) boost the regenerative ability of human tissue and influence the exchange of neurotransmitters, which can improve a person’s resistance to stress. Studied Here, Shungite has been shown to reduce oxidative stress in mice.
4) Shungite is anti-inflammatory.
In the same study linked above, Shungite was also found to reduce inflammation.
For centuries, the eastern world has been using Shungite to treat everything from allergies and infections to inflammation, trauma, high blood pressure, digestive issues, skin conditions – even depression. Shungite has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, and detox properties, in addition to helping the body manage the harmful effects of radiation. It can be used over and over again to purify your water and enrich it with life-giving minerals. Place it around your house, attach it to your phone, wear it around your neck, put a palm stone in your pocket, filter your water with it.
I have several places I like to get my Shungite. I’ve linked a few in this article.
