Play based learning is big in this house. In fact, our tablets have all been on top of the fridge dead for the last two months. That’s why when Lovevery came along I was quick to jump on the chance to try a few of their toys and a play kit for Nora Dove. Lovevery Montessori play based learning kits are a great way to take the guesswork out of what toys are developmentally appropriate for your child up to age 3! Check our my review below.
There’s something about being IN your house all the time like we all have the last few months that makes you realize there’s just too much STUFF IN your house.
Like many of you, I have been purging over the last 5 months. I’ve purged a TON of toys. I just wanted all of the lights and noise gone. Along with getting rid of *stuff* I’ve also wanted to get back to simpler things in all areas. I wanted my kids using their imaginations and ingenuity more. So we’ve gotten rid of most of those toys (and … there … were … a lot). We’re replacing them with wooden toys geared towards developmental milestones and age appropriate activities. These Montessori based toys are just what the home-preschool doctor ordered. I can’t think of a better company to support in this effort than Lovevery. They have poured their heart and soul into the effort of giving babies their best start.
Age Appropriate Kits
They have age appropriate “kits” that are specially crafted and thoughtfully put together specifically for your baby. We ended up getting The Helper kit for Nora Dove since she’s right at 27 months and of course the child HAD to have The Block Set for building “castles.” We opened these yesterday and she played for HOURS.
It seems sort of backwards to most parents I think (myself included, I used to think this) but she played better and for a longer period of time with these toys than she EVER has with any of the other remotes, toy laptops, talking dogs, etc that have set all over this living room since her older sister was little. I’ve linked them here. Check out a kit. It comes with tons of activities for each item and explains the things you’re working on with your child at their age. It’s super fascinating to me. I know you won’t be disappointed. I would always get lost looking for Montessori supplies for our house. What do I get? When? Should I start this activity now or later? Am I late? Lovevery takes the guesswork out of it and I love that so much.
Toys are a lot different now than they were in the 80’s it seems. 😉 Below is an actual image of a toy that’s in the house leftover from my husband’s childhood. No wonder we’re scarred, HA!
Be sure to leave a comment or shoot me an email if you have questions or you check Lovevery Montessori play based learning kits and toys out! I’d love to hear about it.
